Join Free Verse Poets and Surge magazine on a collaborative experience involving a workshop, reading and an open mic. Members of the Surge team will lead a workshop about important environmental issues. Participants will present their work at a reading following the workshop. This event will bring together poets and environmental activist communities through a shared appreciation for creative thinking and problem solving.
About Surge: Surge magazine is housed under the nonprofit Charleston Climate Coalition and focuses on climate action, reporting, and highlighting sustainable local artists and businesses. Surge is led by a small, passionate team, and has recently expanded into creative writing.
